Airline Ticketing / Check In
The Deer Lake Regional Airport does not have access to airline fares and reservations. Therefore, for information regarding the cost of an airline ticket and a reservation, please contact your travel agent or the airline directly.
In general, the Deer Lake Regional Airport recommends that passengers arrive at the airport 2 hours prior to domestic flights and 3 hours prior to international departures. These are estimates only, and vary depending on many factors. For information on specific flights, please check with your airline directly.
Before boarding, all passengers planning to travel on Canadian domestic and international flights coming to or leaving Canada who appear to be 18 years of age or older, are to be asked to present:
- One piece of valid government-issued identification that includes a photograph and the passenger’s name,
- Two pieces of valid government-issued ID showing the passenger’s name, without photographs.
- A Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) (a smart card issued to airport workers).
IMPORTANT: The name on the identification that is provided must match the name on the boarding pass.
For a complete description of Identity Screening Regulations please visit the Transport Canada website at www.passengerprotect.gc.ca/identity.html
Valid passports are required for all international travel. For additional information on travel requirements for other countries or for returning to Canada please contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Canada Border Services Agency.
